1. How many tickets are available for sale?

There are 7,000 tickets available for sale.

2. How much do tickets cost?
1 ticket for $10 or 3 tickets for $25.
3. How can I obtain a winners’ list?
The list of major winners will be published on the Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention
Centre of BC’s website at www.crisiscentre.bc.ca and on www.darelle.com/CrisisCentre on December 30, 2016. A list of winners will be emailed to every ticket purchaser and be available at 763 East Broadway, Vancouver.
4. What are the odds of winning?
Chances are 1 in 7,000 (total tickets for sale) to win a grand prize. Actual odds depend on number of tickets sold. All inquiries, if any, on the odds of winning, are to be made to the licensee prior to the purchase of ticket(s).
5. What happens if a bad payment is received?
If a credit card payment is charged back you will be contacted by PayPal and/or Darelle Media Inc and given an opportunity to provide replacement payment according to the terms and conditions of PayPal and/or Darelle Media Inc. Any tickets issued will be considered invalid until replacement payment is received.



6. How old do you have to be to purchase a ticket?
Purchasers must be at least 19 years of age. If a winning ticket bears a minor’s name, the prize will be lawfully delivered on behalf of the minor to the minor’s parent, legal guardian or trustee.

7. Can Life Lottery tickets be ordered online?
Yes, the Crisis Centre has contracted the services of Darelle Media Inc. (www.darelle.com) to sell Life Lottery tickets through the Internet by way of a real time processing and payment system and where the purchaser’s ticket is paid for immediately online. The transaction and payment processing system used for processing online ticket sales (PayPal) is Payment Card
Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council compliant. Life Lottery tickets will be delivered to the Purchaser by email through the Internet where the Purchaser will download a copy of the ticket. In addition:

• Ticket purchasers must be physically in the province of B.C. when placing the order;
• They must be residents of BC; and
• The address given for tickets must be a valid B.C. address.

Non-residents of British Columbia cannot purchase tickets by phone, fax or mail.

8. Can I purchase tickets if I am not a resident of British Columbia?
Yes, but there are certain restrictions and conditions, which must be met. Tickets must be purchased at a physical sales outlet. Tickets may be purchased at the Crisis Centre business office at 763 East Broadway, Vancouver.
The lottery is intended for B.C. residents. Ticket buyers must be in British Columbia at the time of purchase. A non-resident of British Columbia may purchase a ticket if the entire payment transaction takes place while the person is in British Columbia and if the ticket or a receipt is issued at that time.
Tickets or receipts cannot be distributed to, mailed or otherwise sent to a non-residents third party address in British Columbia. Prizes will not be delivered to an address outside of British Columbia or to a person other than the registered ticket holder.
9. How many prizes will be awarded?
6 prizes will be awarded. Winners of prizes will be required to sign a “Receipt of Prize” and consent to the release of their names by the licensee.
10. What is the total prize value?
Approximately $8,916 based on MSRP as provided by suppliers and includes related taxes.
11. Is my ticket purchase tax deductible?
No, lottery tickets are not tax deductible; even though proceeds support a charitable cause.
12. Where to the proceeds from the Life Lottery go?
The proceeds from the Life Lottery are used to support Crisis Centre Community Education and Distress Services programs to British Columbians.
13. If I win one of the Life Lottery prizes do I still qualify for the other prize draws including the Grand Prize?
If you purchased more than one ticket, you will be eligible for multiple prizes. Each winning ticket will not be re-eligible for a prize. Tickets must be purchased before the designated cut-off dates to be eligible for a prize.
14. What if I lose my ticket?
You do not need your ticket to claim your prize. Your name, address, and phone number are recorded in the database along with your ticket number. If you would like a replacement ticket, you can log into your www.darelle.com account using the email and password you provided at time of purchase and download or print your ticket from your account or email bcraffle@darelle.com and your tickets will be resent via email: Please include your name, address and phone number with your request.
15. Do I have to pay tax on any winnings?
Lottery winnings are considered a windfall and not taxable in Canada.
16. What is your privacy policy?
We respect your privacy. The Crisis Centre protects personal information and adheres to all legislative requirements with respect to privacy.
We do not rent, sell, or trade our mailing lists. Information provided through ticket purchase will be used to deliver services and keep you informed on activities of the Crisis Centre including programs, services, and special events, funding needs, opportunities to volunteer or give and more, through periodic contacts. 17. Can I request a specific ticket number?
No. Ticket numbers are computer-generated in ascending order starting at a pre-determined number.
18. Can I purchase tickets in multiple names?
Yes, although one person will be designated as the primary purchaser and will be responsible for distributing the winnings between the multiple purchasers. The licensee is not responsible for distributing winnings or resolving disputes between ticket purchasers.
19. How long do I have to claim my prize?
Prizes must be claimed within twelve (12) months of the Final Draw.
20. How will I know if I have won a prize?
The primary ticket purchaser will be notified by email, phone and/or mail by the Crisis Centre as to what they have won and where/how to claim their prize(s). A complete list of winners will also be posted online on the same date at.
21. How long does it take to receive my ticket?
You should receive your ticket within minutes if the order has been placed Online and tickets will be delivered electronically only. If you do not receive order confirmation from PayPal and an email with your tickets from Darelle Media Inc, check your spam folder or call 604-628-2008 or email bcraffle@darelle.com for further information or for re-issue.

22. When are the deadlines for ticket sales?
11:59pm on December 28, 2016.
23. How can I be sure my tickets are in the draw?
The professional services firm Darelle Media Inc in conjunction with the Crisis Centre ensures that all paid tickets are in the draw.



24. Will my name be publicized if I am a winner?
Yes, all winners will be published on the Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Centre of BC’s website at www.crisiscentre.bc.ca and on www.darelle.com/CrisisCentre. A list of winners will be emailed to every ticket purchaser.
