  1. TICKET INFORMATION:

Ticket orders will be available for purchase over the internet and at multiple physical locations. We will also be able to process orders on a purchaser’s behalf at the offices of the B.C. Hospitality Foundation.  The Purchaser will receive, by email, a confirmation of the order with their ticket number(s) and tickets(s) attached and available for download and to print. 

A total of 95,250 tickets are available, with 750 tickets for $5.00 each, 4,500 tickets @ 3 for $10.00, 40,000 tickets @ 8 for $20.00 and 50,000 tickets @ 25 for $50.00. 

 

Tickets may be sold and purchased only in British Columbia.

  1. ELIGIBILITY

The following people are not permitted to purchase tickets in this lottery: member(s), employees or volunteers of the B.C. Hospitality Foundation who are directly involved in the administration of the raffle and employees and immediate family of Darelle Media Inc. Immediate family includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren.

A non-resident of British Columbia (“Non-Resident”) may purchase a ticket only if the entire payment transaction takes place while the person is physically in British Columbia and if the ticket or a receipt is issued at that time. Tickets or receipts will not be distributed to, emailed, mailed or otherwise sent to a Non-Resident’s third-party address in B.C. A non-resident winner of a prize is responsible for all costs associated with delivery of prize to the location the winner specifies, that is outside the province of British Columbia.

When a resident of British Columbia is outside the province of British Columbia they may not place an order to purchase tickets. This restriction includes all methods of ordering tickets.

Ticket Purchaser must be 19 years of age or older. If a winning ticket bears a minor’s name, the prize will be lawfully delivered to the minor’s parents, legal guardian or trustee. Know your limit, play with in it. Problem Gambling Help Line 1-888-795-6111 www.bcresponsiblegambling.ca  

Non-Residents of British Columbia may not order tickets by telephone, fax or mail.

  1. CHANCES OF WINNING:

The odds of winning are 1 in 95,250 to win the grand prize and 1 in 31,750 to win any prize. Actual odds are dependent on the number of tickets sold.

 

  1. TAX INFORMATION:

Prizes are awarded tax free in Canada. The price of tickets is not deductible as a charitable donation for tax purposes in Canada.

  1. PERTINENT DRAW DATES:

Cut-off times for ticket sales are at 23:59 pm on October 22, 2018. The final draw for all prizes will be held at 10:00 am on October 23, 2018. Only tickets that have been paid for and/or verified as paid are eligible to be entered in the draw(s).

 

  1. CASH EQUIVALENTS AND PRIZE DETAILS:

There are three (10) prizes available to be won.

The retail value of all prizes is $29,200.00 based on Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price as provided by our supplier and this amount includes any related taxes on the individual prizes.

Prizes must be accepted as awarded and must be claimed within one (1) year of the draw date.  No substitutions are permitted by winners except where a cash option or alternate prize is specified. Prizes may not be exactly as shown.

Winners of a prize will be required to sign a “Receipt of Prize” and consent to the release of their names by the Licensee.

  1. ONLINE TICKET SALES

B.C. Hospitality Foundation has contracted the services of Darelle Media Inc. (www.darelle.com) to sell Lottery tickets through the Internet by way of a real-time processing and payment system and where the purchaser’s ticket is paid for immediately online. The transaction and payment processing system used for processing online ticket sales is Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council compliant.

Lottery tickets will be sent to the purchaser by email or through the Internet where the Purchaser will download and print a copy of the ticket.

In addition:

 

Non-residents of British Columbia cannot purchase tickets by phone, fax or mail.

 

  1. OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION:

Each winning ticket will be selected using a random number generator. Each ticket will be re-entered for subsequent prize drawings; thus, each person has a chance at winning all the prizes. Each winning ticket will be selected using a random number generator and will be in ascending value starting with a prize of the least value.

The list of major winners will be published on the B.C. Hospitality Foundation website at www.bchospitalityfoundation.com  and on www.darelle.com .   A list of winners will be emailed to every ticket purchaser and be available at www.bchospitalityfoundation.com.

If a credit card payment is charged back, you will be contacted by the Payment Processor, the B.C. Hospitality Foundation, and/or Darelle Media Inc. and given opportunity to provide replacement payment according to the terms and conditions of the Payment Processor and or Darelle Media Inc.  Any tickets issued will be considered invalid until replacement payment is received.

The records of B.C. Hospitality Foundation shall be deemed correct if there is a discrepancy in numbers.

All sales are final once the ticket number is assigned, and all sales are subject to credit approval. The Licensee reserves discretionary right not to accept entries.

The Purchaser is responsible for proof-of-ownership of shared tickets.

Should a prize be unavailable due to circumstances beyond the control of the B.C. Hospitality Foundation, the winner shall be awarded the fair market value of the prize.

The liability of the B.C. Hospitality Foundation is limited to the ticket price paid.

Winners will be notified directly by email, phone and/or mail by the B.C. Hospitality Foundation as to the prize they have won and how to claim.

Winners consent to the release of their names by the Licensee. The list of winners will be published on the B.C. Hospitality Foundation located at (website) and at www.darelle.com

If there is a discrepancy, the list and rules located at www.darelle.com  shall be deemed correct.

We do not rent, sell, or trade our mailing lists. Information provided through ticket purchase will be used to deliver services and keep you informed on activities of the B.C. Hospitality Foundation including programs, services, special-events, funding needs, opportunities to volunteer or give and more, through periodic contacts.
