Ticket orders will be available for purchase over the internet and two physical locations will be able to process orders on a purchaser’s behalf at the offices of the Powell River Kings Hockey Club Society (P.O. Box 342, Powell River, B.C.) and the Hap Parker Arena at 5001 Joyce Avenue, Powell River, B.C. The Purchaser will receive, by email, a confirmation of the order with their ticket number(s) and tickets(s) attached and available for download and to print. After the cut-off date, winners will be selected with a random draw from a barrel.
For the Powell River Kings Dream Lottery a total of 2,499 tickets are available, with 1 ticket for $100.
The 50/50 draw will have 4,000 tickets printed at $20 each. Total jackpot can grow up to $80,000. Winners of the 50/50 draw receive half. 50/50 tickets must be ordered at the same time as your Powell River Kings Dream Lottery ticket and must contain the same customer information as the Powell River Kings Dream Lottery ticket.
The following people are not permitted to purchase tickets in this lottery: members of the Kings Organization responsible for the conduct and management of the ticket Raffle, or employees and partners of Darelle Media Inc.
A non-resident of British Columbia may purchase a ticket only if the entire payment transaction takes place while the person is physically in British Columbia and if the ticket or a receipt is issued at that time. Tickets or receipts will not be distributed to, emailed, mailed or otherwise sent to a non-resident’s third-party address in B.C. When a resident of British Columbia is outside the province of British Columbia they may not place an order to purchase tickets. This restriction includes all methods of ordering tickets.

Odds of winning are 1 in 2,499 to win the grand prize of $50,000.00. Winner of the 50/50 draw will win one half of the money for the 50/50 ticket sales. Odds of winning the 50/50 are 1 in 4,000. Odds will change pending of the number of tickets sold in the Dream Lottery and the 50/50.
Prizes are awarded tax free in Canada. The price of tickets is not deductible as a charitable donation for tax purposes in Canada.
Draw date is January 7, 2017 at Hap Parker Arena 5001 Joyce Avenue, Powell River, B.C. V8A 5R2, between the second and third period of a scheduled game. Approximately 9:00 PM. Early bird draw is on November 12, 2016 at Hap Parker Arena at approximately 9:00 PM. Bonus Pre Christmas Draw is December 10, 2016 at Hap Parker Arena at approximately 9:00 PM.
The winner does not have to be present to claim the prize. Tickets may be purchased up to 8:00 PM on draw dates.
In the event that a winning ticket stub lists more than one name, the Licensee will award the prize to any individual whose name is listed on the stub. The Licensee (Powell River Kings Hockey Club Society) is not responsible for resolving any disputes that may arise between different individuals whose name are on the ticket stub.
Pending availability, all internet ticket orders will be processed up to January 4, 2017.
There are seven (7) prizes available to be won. Five (5) prizes for the main draw on January 7, 2017 and one (1) for the Early Bird on November 12, 2016 and one (1) Bonus Pre-Christmas Draw on December 10, 2015. Retail value of all prizes is $104,614.08 based on Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price as provided by our suppliers and this amount includes any related taxes on the individual prizes. METHOD OF THE DRAW WILL BE IN ASCENDING VALUES STARTING WITH THE PRIZE OF LEAST VALUE. EACH TICKET IS RE-ENTERED FOR EVERY PRIZE CATEGORY. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and must be claimed within one (1) year of the draw date. No substitutions are permitted by winners except where a cash option or alternate prize is specified. Prizes may not be exactly as shown. To claim a prize with a cash option, prize winners must provide the following documents on request:
Powell River Kings Hockey Club Society has contracted the services of Darelle Media Inc. (www.darelle.com) to sell Lottery tickets through the Internet by way of a real time processing and payment system and where the purchaser’s ticket is paid for immediately online. The transaction and payment processing system used for processing online ticket sales is Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council compliant.
Lottery tickets will be sent to the purchaser by email or through the Internet where the Purchaser will download and print a copy of the ticket.
All sales are final once the ticket number is assigned, and all sales are subject to credit approval. The Licensee reserves discretionary right not to accept entries. Allow one week for delivery of all tickets ordered from the Powell River Kings Hockey Club Society website, by phone or mail. All prizes will be drawn from a barrel draw.
The Purchaser is responsible for proof-of-ownership of shared tickets. Liability of the Powell River Kings Hockey Club Society shall be limited to ticket price paid. Should a prize be unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Licensee’s control, the winner shall be awarded the fair market value of the prize. The Winner is responsible for the cost of shipping/delivery of their prize. Winners of the Vehicle or ATV are responsible for license, insurance cost and pick up. Winners will be notified by phone and/or mail by Powell River Kings Hockey Club Society. Winners consent to the release of their names and photo by the Licensee. A decision to take the cash equivalent of any prize awarded must be made within 10 days of claim. The list of major winners will be published in the PR Peak, Kings web site, Kings Lottery web site and on www.darelle.com within a week of the draw.
