  1. TICKET INFORMATION:

Ticket orders will be available for purchase over the internet and at multiple physical locations. We will also be able to process orders on a purchaser’s behalf at the offices of the Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver.  The Purchaser will receive, by email, a confirmation of the order with their ticket number(s) and tickets(s) attached and available for download and to print. 

A total of 3,000 tickets are available, with 1,200 tickets for $10 each and 1,800 tickets @ 3 for $25. 

 

Tickets may be sold and purchased only in British Columbia.

  1. ELIGIBILITY

The following people are not permitted to purchase tickets in this lottery: employees or Board Members of Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver, Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver Foundation, Renew Crew Foundation, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sea to Sky Corridor or employees and partners of Darelle Media Inc. 

A non-resident of British Columbia may purchase a ticket only if the entire payment transaction takes place while the person is physically in British Columbia and if the ticket or a receipt is issued at that time. Tickets or receipts will not be distributed to, emailed, mailed or otherwise sent to a non-resident’s third-party address in B.C. A non-resident winner of a prize is responsible for all costs associated with delivery of prize that the winner specifies that is outside the province of British Columbia.

When a resident of British Columbia is outside the province of British Columbia they may not place an order to purchase tickets. This restriction includes all methods of ordering tickets.

Ticket Purchaser must be 19 years of age or older. If a minor’s name appears on a ticket stub, the prize shall be delivered to the minor’s parents, legal Guardian or Trustee. Know your limit, play with in it. Problem Gambling Help Line 1-888-795-6111 www.bcresponsiblegambling.ca  

Non-residents of British Columbia may not order tickets by telephone, fax or mail.

  1. CHANCES OF WINNING:

The odds of winning are 1 in 3,000 (total tickets for sale) to win the grand prize and 1 in 1,000 to win any prize. Actual odds are dependent on the number of tickets sold.

 

  1. TAX INFORMATION:

Prizes are awarded tax free in Canada. The price of tickets is not deductible as a charitable donation for tax purposes in Canada.

  1. PERTINENT DRAW DATES:

Ticket sales will end at 12:00 pm (noon) on June 15th, 2017. The final draw for all prizes will be held at 12:00 pm (noon) on June 16, 2017. Only tickets that have been paid for and/or verified as paid are eligible to be entered in the draw(s).

 

  1. CASH EQUIVALENTS AND PRIZE DETAILS:

There are three (3) prizes available to be won.

The retail value of all prizes is $5,100 based on Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price as provided by our supplier and this amount includes any related taxes on the individual prizes.

Prizes must be accepted as awarded and must be claimed within one (1) year of the draw date.  No substitutions are permitted by winners except where a cash option or alternate prize is specified. Prizes may not be exactly as shown.

  1. ONLINE TICKET SALES

Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver has contracted the services of Darelle Media Inc. (www.darelle.com) to sell Lottery tickets through the Internet by way of a real-time processing and payment system and where the purchaser’s ticket is paid for immediately online. The transaction and payment processing system used for processing online ticket sales is Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council compliant.

Lottery tickets will be sent to the purchaser by email or through the Internet where the Purchaser will download and print a copy of the ticket.

  1. OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION:

Each ticket is not re-entered for subsequent prize drawings.

The list of major winners will be published on the Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver website at www.bigbrothersvancouver.com/raffle  and on www.darelle.com .  A list of winners will be emailed to every ticket purchaser and be available at www.bigbrothersvancouver.com/raffle .

The records of Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver shall be deemed correct if there is a discrepancy in numbers.

All sales are final once the ticket number is assigned, and all sales are subject to credit approval. The Licensee reserves discretionary right not to accept entries.

The Purchaser is responsible for proof-of-ownership of shared tickets.

Should a prize be unavailable due to circumstances beyond the control of the Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver, the winner shall be awarded the fair market value of the prize.

The liability of the Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver is limited to the ticket price paid.

Winners will be notified directly by email, phone and/or mail by the Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver as to the prize they have won and how to claim.

Winners consent to the release of their names and photo by the Licensee. The list of winners will be published on the Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver located at   and at www.darelle.com

If there is a discrepancy, the list and rules located at www.darelle.com  shall be deemed correct.

We respect your privacy. The Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver protects personal information and adheres to all legislative requirements with respect to privacy. We do not rent, sell, or trade our mailing lists. Information provided through ticket purchase will be used to deliver services and keep you informed on activities of the Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver including programs, services, special-events, funding needs, opportunities to volunteer or give and more, through periodic contacts.
