  1. Ticket orders will be available for purchase over the internet and 2 physical locations will be able to process orders on a purchaser’s behalf at the offices of the BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities. The Purchaser will receive, by email, a confirmation of the order with their ticket number(s) and tickets(s) attached and available for download and to print.  After the cut off date of Midnight, September 23, 2016, all the sold tickets will be printed for both the BC Lions Society’s Adventure Raffle as well as the 50/50.  The tickets will then be put into the barrel for the draw to be held until the actual draw on September 30, 2016 at 10:00am.

    For the BC Lions Society Adventure Lottery (Adventure Lottery) a total of 13,000 tickets are available, with 3,000 tickets for $10, 6,000 tickets @ 3 for $25, and 4,000 tickets @ 10 for $50. The number of tickets available for sale in each category will not change, nor will the total number of tickets available, 13,000.

For the 50/50 Draw Lottery a total of 12,000 tickets are available with 5,000 tickets for $5, 3,000 tickets @ 3 for $10, and 4,000 tickets @10 for $25. The number of tickets available for sale in each category will not change, nor will the total number of tickets available, 12,000.

Each Adventure Lottery Ticket and each 50/50 Draw Lottery Ticket must contain the same customer information. 50/50 Draw Lottery tickets must be ordered in conjunction with your Adventure Lottery tickets.

A purchaser may purchase as many Adventure Lottery and 50/50 Draw Lottery tickets as they wish, provided they purchase at least one Adventure Lottery ticket.

Tickets may be sold and purchased only in British Columbia.

Ticket Purchasers must be 19 years of age or older.

  1. TAX INFORMATION:

Prizes are awarded tax free in Canada. The price of tickets is not deductible as a charitable donation for tax purposes in Canada.

The Adventure Lottery and 50/50 Draw Lottery Draws will be held on September 30, 2016 at the Easter Seals House located at 3981 Oak Street in Vancouver, B.C. V6H 4H5. Prizes to be drawn in order of ascending value, starting with the prize of the least value.

 

  1. CASH EQUIVALENTS AND PRIZE DETAILS:

Adventure Lottery

There are 5 prizes available to be won.

The retail value of all prizes is $2,901 based on Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price as provided by our suppliers and this amount includes any related taxes on the individual prizes.

Each ticket is re-entered after each prize category. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and must be claimed within 12 months of the draw date. No substitutions are permitted and prizes must be accepted as awarded, there is no cash substitute option.

50/50 Draw Lottery

There is one prize available to be won in the 50/50 Draw Lottery. The 50/50 Draw Lottery prize to be awarded is calculated as 50% of the gross revenue generated by actual tickets sold.

  1. ELIGIBILITY:

The following people are not permitted to purchase tickets in this lottery: board members and partners and employees and partners of British Columbia Lions Society for Children with Disabilities and Easter Seals House or employees and partners of Darelle Media Inc.  A non-resident of British Columbia may purchase a ticket only if the entire payment transaction takes place while the person is physically in British Columbia and if the ticket or a receipt is issued at that time. Tickets must be purchased at a retail sales outlet, or directly through British Columbia Lions Society for Children with Disabilities.

Non-residents of British Columbia may not order tickets by telephone, fax, mail.

Tickets or receipts will not be distributed to, emailed, mailed or otherwise sent to a non-resident’s third-party address in B.C.

A resident of British Columbia may purchase a ticket only if the entire payment transaction takes place while the person is physically in British Columbia and if the ticket or a receipt is issued at that time. When a resident of British Columbia is outside the province of British Columbia they may not place an order to purchase tickets. This restriction includes all methods of ordering tickets.

  1. ONLINE TICKET SALES

The British Columbia Lions Society for Children with Disabilities has contracted the services of Darelle Media Inc. (www.darelle.com) to sell Adventure Lottery Tickets and 50/50 Draw Lottery Tickets through the Internet by way of a real time processing and payment system and where the purchaser’s ticket is paid for immediately online. The transaction and payment processing system used for processing online ticket sales (PayPal) is Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council compliant.

Both the Adventure Lottery Tickets and 50/50 Draw Lottery Tickets will be sent to the purchaser by email or through the Internet where the Purchaser will download and print a copy of the ticket.

 

  1. OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION:

All prizes are drawn from a barrel.

Each ticket is re-entered for every prize category.

The list of major winners will be published on the British Columbia Lions Society for Children with Disabilities at www.lionsbc.ca website and on www.darelle.com/EasterSealsBC.  A list of winner’s will be emailed to every ticket purchaser and be available at either British Columbia Office:  BC Lions Society Offices Vancouver Office:  3981 Oak St, Vancouver V6H 4H5 TEL: 604-873-1865 or at Victoria Office:  2095 Granite St TEL: 250-370-0518.  Please phone first

 

The records of British Columbia Lions Society for Children with Disabilities shall be deemed correct if there is a discrepancy in numbers.

All sales are final once the ticket number is assigned, and all sales are subject to credit approval.

The Licensee reserves discretionary right not to accept entries.

The Purchaser is responsible for proof-of-ownership of shared tickets.

Tickets purchased will be delivered via email online within minutes.

Should a prize be unavailable due to circumstances beyond the control of the British Columbia Lions Society for Children with Disabilities, the winner shall be awarded the fair market value of the prize.

The liability of the British Columbia Lions Society for Children with Disabilities is limited to the ticket price paid.

Winners will be notified directly by email, phone and/or mail by the British Columbia Lions Society for Children with Disabilities and/or as to the prize(s) they have won and how to claim.

Winners consent to the release of their names by the Licensee.

Winners have (12) Twelve Months from the draw date to claim their prizes.

If there is a discrepancy, the list and rules located at www.darelle.com/EasterSealsBC shall be deemed correct.
