Darelle Media Inc. DriveTo25 Fundraising Drive & Consumer Contest (the “Contest”)

CONTEST PERIOD

The Contest begins at 12:01AM June 29th, 2015 and ends 11:59PM July 12th, 2015 (the “Contest Period”).
The Contest will be segmented into two (7) seven day periods (“Segments”). The first Segment will run from 12:01AM PST June 29th, 2015 to 11:59PM PST July 5th, 2015. The second Segment will run from 12:01AM PST July 6th, 2015 to 11:59PM PST July 12, 2015.

A third (7) seven day period is being added to the ("Contest Period").  The third segment will run from 12:01 AM PST July 13th, through 11:59 PM PST July 19th.  All terms and conditions that have applied to the previous (2) two segments will apply to the 3rd Segment.  Aggregate amounts and Contest Period terms and conditions are not otherwise affected.
 
ELIGIBILITY

The Contest is open to all residents of British Columbia, Canada who have reached the age of 18 at the time of entry, except employees (and those with whom such employees are domiciled) of Darelle Media Inc., its affiliated companies or agents, and advertising and promotion agencies.  No purchase necessary.

OVERVIEW

The Contest itself is broken down into (2) two parts.  The (“Fundraising Drive”) and the (“Gift Card Giveaway”)
This Contest constitutes your full and unconditional acceptance of, and agreement to be legally bound by, these Contest rules (the “Contest Rules”).

THE GIFT CARD GIVEAWAY

Darelle Media Inc. is giving away (2) two gift cards with a value of $500 (“Gift Cards”) each over the period of June 29th, 2015 to July 12th, 2015 (“Contest Period”)  Each Eligible Supporter who registers as a new Shopper on the darelle.com site and joins a Buy Request will receive one (1) entry (“Entry”) to win one (1) Gift Card during that week (“Segment”) of the Contest. Eligible Supporters who share a Buy Request through social media using the options on the darelle.com site will receive (1) one additional entry.  The week or Segment that an Eligible Supporters’ entries are received, determines which Segment period Gift Card giveaway their entries will be eligible for.  Entries are valid only for the Segment or period giveaway in which they were received. Each $500 Gift Card will be issued to the winner to be redeemed at a business registered on the darelle.com website of their choosing. 

FUNDRAISING DRIVE
  1. Darelle Media Inc will donate up to a maximum of $25,000.00CDN dollars to Eligible Charity partners over the Contest Period in the Following ways;

  2. Darelle Media Inc. will donate $1.00 (“Donation Increment”) to the registered Charity (“Eligible Charity”) of choice of every Eligible Supporter to the darelle.com site who registers as a new Shopper and joins a Buy Request (“Sign Up”). In order for a registration to be deemed a Sign Up, the Shopper must register as a new Shopper and join any Buy Request on the darelle.com website.

  3. The (“Donation Threshold”) for the entire Contest period will not exceed $25,000.00CDN
The Donation Threshold amount is allocated as follows;
  1.  Each week or Segment darelle will donate up to $12,500.00;

  2. A maximum of $10,000.00 will be donated each Segment based on the number of unique Eligible Supporters who have chosen an Eligible Charity during the initial registration on darelle.com and completed the Sign Up. The Eligible Charity chosen at the time of Sign Up cannot be changed for purposes of this Contest.

    1. 10,000 completed Sign Ups x $1.00 = $10,000.00

  3. Each individual Eligible Charity can earn up to a maximum $1,000.00 per Segment of the $10,000.00 allotted for donation during that segment regardless of the number of completed Sign Ups referred to the darelle.com website by an Eligible Charity or chosen by an Eligible Supporter that completes the Sign Up.

  4. The $1.00 Donation Increment per Eligible Supporter choosing an eligible Charity and completing Sign Up is allocated up to the maximum of $1,000.00 per Eligible Charity per Segment based on the time of completion of the Sign Up.

  5. Eligible Supporters that complete the Sign Up choosing an Eligible Charity after either that Charity has already earned the maximum $1,000.00 worth of Sign Up Support in a Segment or are no longer eligible to count towards the $1,000.00 because the $10,000.00 worth of donations in that Segment has already been allocated, will then count only towards the additional Bonus Donations to be awarded per segment.

  6. An Additional $2,500.00 (“Bonus Donation”) will be awarded in each Segment in the following way; the top three (3) Eligible Charities which achieve the highest number of individual Eligible Supporter Sign Ups that choose their Charity are eligible to receive an additional weekly donation of $1,250, $750 or $500 (“Bonus Donation”) respectively.

  7. The fundraising drive resets at the end of week (1) one (“Segment”) making each charity eligible for up to a maximum of $1,000.00 in each of the (1) week periods or Segments as well as eligible to receive (1) one of the (3) three bonus donations in each segment based on Sign Up support.

  8. Unique Eligible Supporter Sign Ups supporting an Eligible Charity are only valid in the Segment of the Contest period they registered and are not cumulative from one Segment to the next.

  9. Any one Eligible Charity may earn up to a maximum of $2,250.00 per Segment;

    1. by earning the support of 1,000 Eligible Supporters up to $1,000.00 maximum through the Donation Increment calculation, prior to the funds having already been allocated and;

    2. An additional $1,250.00 by earning the most support overall from Eligible Supporters choosing them during Sign Up over the Segment Period.

    3. One (1) Eligible Charity may earn a maximum of $4,500.00 over the entire Contest Period by earning the Maximum eligible $1,000.00 per Segment and gaining the most Eligible Supporters choosing them at Sign Up in each segment to qualify for the $1,250.00 Bonus Donation.
“Eligible Charity” includes charitable organizations as defined under the Canadian Income Tax Act through the charities Directorate of the Canada Revenue Agency and Not-For-Profits or Non Profit Organizations. The aforementioned organizations are deemed Eligible Charities for the purposes of the Contest if they have a profile on the darelle.com website.

“Eligible Supporter” includes individual residents of the Province of British Columbia, Canada who have reached the age of eighteen (18).  No purchase necessary.

HOW TO ENTER 

To participate in this Contest you must:
  1. Have a darelle.com user account (“Shopper Account”).  If you already have a Shopper Account you are eligible for (1) entry into the Gift Card Giveaway contest only if you join and share a Buy Request. The Charity you chose at the time of your initial registration prior to the start of the contest will not be included in the Donation Increment calculation. If you do not have a Shopper account you can sign up as a Shopper at www.darelle.com.

  2. During the Contest Period, join any Buy Request on darelle.com and choose the eligible Charity you want to recommend. When you join a Buy Request there is no commitment to buy. A Buy Request is an expression of interest (“Buy Request”)

  3. Only join Buy Requests that you are interested in and are willing to accept satisfactory Offers on.

  4. You will receive one (1) Entry by completing Sign Up.  Limit one (1) Entry per person.  During Sign Up the Eligible Supporter chooses the Eligible Charity they want to support to qualify for the Donation Increment.  If it is discovered any individual has attempted to enter more than once by creating more than one Shopper Account then all of their Entries will be void. Use of any automated system to submit Entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
  5. Individuals will receive (1) additional Entry into the contest if they share a Buy Request with other individuals using the email or share functions in the darelle.com website (“Referral Entry”). Limit one (1) Referral Entry per person during the Contest Period.

BY SUBMITTING AN ENTRY, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IF YOU ARE A WINNER OF A GIFT CARD, DARELLE MEDIA INC. CAN POST YOUR NAME ON SOME SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS TO CONGRATULATE YOU ON YOUR WIN. THIS IS REQUIRED SO THAT OTHER DARELLE MEDIA INC. MEMBERS KNOW WHO WON THE CONTEST.

HOW THE WINNERS ARE CHOSEN

At the end of each weekly Segment of the Contest Period, one random name is chosen from all Entries and Referral Entries received. At time of Sign Up new Users are associated with a unique global identifier and number to track their choice of Eligible Charity and for entry into the Gift Card Giveaway.  If the Sign Up User Shares a Buy Request to generate (1) one additional Referral entry then it is associated with both the unique global identifier and number.  If an identifier and number has more than one entry associated with it will be submitted a second time into the Random Generator for purposes of picking the winner of the Gift Card Giveaway each Segment. The winners of the two (2) weekly Gift Cards will be contacted by email to be informed that they have won. Winners will be drawn within 24 hours of the Closing of each Segment.

“Odds” of winning depend on the number of entries received

All donations will be made in Canadian Dollars

In order to determine the Eligible Charity winners of the Bonus Donation in each segment the unique identifier and number are associated with the Eligible Charity that the User chose at Sign Up on darelle.com. The (3) Charities with the most Eligible Supporters choosing them at Sign up in each Segment receive the corresponding Bonus Donation.


GENERAL


By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Contest Rules. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited by law. The decisions of Darelle Media Inc. with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal.

Darelle Media Inc. reserves the right to cancel, suspend, withdraw or amend this Contest in any way, without prior notice or obligation, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of Darelle Media Inc. that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Contest Rules. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Darelle Media Inc. reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

All Entries are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. Darelle Media Inc. reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to Darelle Media Inc. – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification): (i) for the purposes of verifying an individual’s eligibility to participate in this Contest; (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of any Entry entered (or purportedly entered) for the purposes of this Contest; and/or (iii) for any other reason Darelle Media Inc. deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Contest in accordance with these Contest Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the satisfaction of Darelle Media Inc. in a timely manner may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of Darelle Media Inc.. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid Entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s). 

Without limitation, Darelle Media Inc., its advertising and promotion agencies and the Contest judges will not be liable for any failure of the website during the Contest; for a technical malfunction or other problems relating to the telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; for the failure of any Entry or Referral Entry to be received by Darelle Media Inc., its advertising and promotion agencies or the Contest judges for any reason including, but not limited to, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website; or any combination of the above. Further, Darelle Media Inc., its advertising and promotion agencies will not be liable for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading any material in the Contest.

In the event of a dispute, Entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of Entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. If the identity of an online entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder associated with the email account at the time of Entry will be deemed to be the entrant. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected Entry. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid online Entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).
