The Merritt Centennials Hockey Club provides a high-calibre of sport viewing of our residents and outlying area.  In such a small community, we don’t have a wide variety of events to partake in and having the opportunity to give this gift of entertainment and civic pride is very important to the Merritt Centennials.  The young men in our hockey club are integrated throughout the community volunteering at elementary schools, helping to coach minor hockey, and participating in different peer opportunities with our city’s youth.  Our players are excellent role models for the youth in our community, as they are proof that with hard work and dedication, you can achieve goals as great as playing Junior “A” hockey for the BCHL.  Funds from gaming licenses will be used to help pay for equipment, ice time, travel or any expense that is incurred in running the hockey club.
